My favorite birds prints by our featured artist Nick Day are, the Woodpecker and Puffin.
 
I came across an artist who is passionate about wildlife birds. He spends weeks visiting bird sanctuaries in the United Kingdom and Europe. He sketches and photographs his most loved birds. Because his passion for wildlife and its preservation he has a vast knowledge of the birds he loves, their habitat, breeding, and migratory patterns.
His method of painting is unusual and rare. He uses the unique medium of water-based crayon over a detailed engraving on a hardened board.
His inspiration to paint with this medium came from his childhood were he loved the Victorian method of hand-tinted copper plates of birds.
